Shoe Sale
My Facebook friends bought several pairs of shoes from my extensive collection. All proceeds went directly to the wheelchair fund.
Reading Half Marathon
Jo Hawkins and Claire Weakford successfully ran the Reading Half Marathon on the 17th March in a time of 2 hours and 20 minutes having recently taken up running again.
They raised £765 to help with the wheelchair fund!

The Three Peaks Challenge
The exciting 24hr three peaks challenge event took place on the 27th of July 2013. My husband Robin, brothers Sam and Adam, good friends Heather and Dan and cousin Sam trained hard for the three peaks challenge, a task that required them to walk a distance of around 24 miles and climb a total of 3064 metres on Snowdon, Scafell Pike and Ben Nevis! Of the 6, 5 completed the challenge. Heather was even carrying a major injury and managed to make it to the end! Special congratulations go to (cousin) Sam who completed the challenge in well under 24 hours!

Yorkshire Warrior
Joy Maisey, daughter Tiff and co completed the Yorkshire Warrior race on April 20th! Their team name was The Honey Badgers. The Yorkshire Warrior event takes place in Harrogate and is a 16km extreme obstacle race involving barbed wire, nettles, water cannons, mud, ropes and other nastys.
